Built
in 1909 by the Oddfellows Association, The Inn Springville
is a classic two-story brick building. For a time the whole of the second
floor served as the meeting and social hall for the organization.
True
to their name, the Oddfellows inadvertently cast the building nameplate
cornerstone resulting in the "1909" date reading with backward
nines! You can still see the original building ledger, errors and all,
near the top.
Over
the years, the building has been home to a plumbing business, a harness
shop, the Springville Savings Bank and an insurance office. In the mid
1970’s, both floors were converted to residential apartments
